The UK

I posted the other day that my mom covered the UK while I was gone. Here’s  a little snippet of some of the things they did together. I do wish I had joined them on this one, but as a family we have already been to the UK (when Tallinn was little) and I felt okay passing this one on.

One special thing about the UK is that it is home to Wales, in which lies the capital city of Cardiff, the name of our beloved son.  Someday we will take him to his namesake, which means “Fort on the River Taff”.

Before we knew the meaning of his name, Brian chose this to be his life verse:

The LORD is my rock, my fortress

and my deliverer;

my God is my rock, in whom I take

refuge,

my shield and the horn of my salvation.

2 Samuel 22:2

I love that his name basically means “fortress” and that his verse says that God is his fortress!

Thank you, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland for teaching my children a bit more about the world we live in through shamrock-shaped cookies, dragon tales, shepherd’s pie and more. We do promise to come visit again someday and will think of you when we indulge in some afternoon tea and scones.

Until then, tata!
