Wow! This journey around the world through the alphabet is coming to an end. At times, I honestly didn’t think we would make it to the end, especially as we began our journey in January of 2010. What had the makings of taking “40 weeks”, has indeed taken almost a year and a half, but we have loved our journey (and our breaks :)).
Our last country, Zimbabwe, back in the heart of Africa, a continent dear to our hearts in many ways, one we’re happy to be visiting again. There are only two countries in the world that begin with the letter “Z” and they are both in Africa…..Zambia and Zimbabwe. For our final destination, we chose the latter.
Flag Craft…painting the red, yellow and green stripes
After the flag craft, we did an African “cave art” craft using sandpaper, crayons and some sample animals.
This Week’s Verse:
Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
