The Philippines, Land of Many Islands

They aren’t kidding when they say that the Philippines has many islands.  Over 7000 in fact. Some inhabitable, some quite small, all surrounded by deep blue sea with splashes of turquoise, four seas to be exact…The South China Sea, Sulu Sea, Celebes Sea, and the Philippine Sea, all smack dab in the middle of the Pacific Ocean….the South Pacific to be exact.

I’m SO behind in posting our activities of the week, so I’ll probably post a bunch today without many words. Being husbandless isn’t the easiest thing these days and fortunately my man will be back soon.

So, geography, a little craft, a letter to our dear Abegail who is from the Philippines now living with her new family in Australia…lots of books about life on the thousands of islands that make up this exotic country….learning how to raise your eyebrows as a “hello” gesture (we’re also still using our lips to point like the Peruvians do 🙂 ).
